It’s always a pleasure to write this note to you, our donor community, and share what we have accomplished together this past year. And what an incredible year it was. Our We Are campaign — the largest healthcare fundraising campaign in our region — has major momentum and is elevating health care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
To date, as part of We Are, we have raised $57 million towards our $100-million goal, bringing 14 projects to completion. From surgical robotics to cancer care, these are all life-changing projects, transforming care for patients and their families, today and for future generations. And we are not stopping until we are done. We are bolstered by having generous donors like you by our side — helping make these ambitious goals a reality.
There’s no denying the needs in health care are great, yet so are the passion and desire of our community to make a difference. The collective actions of many — from the dedicated and resilient healthcare teams to our donor community and volunteer leaders — are creating real change. All in the name of providing the highest quality of care for patients and families.
The stories shared in the pages that follow show how philanthropy takes us to the next level, driving innovation in treatment, research, and care. Donors like you are helping to define the future of health care at the QEII. That’s powerful.
