Illness or injury interrupts daily life, meaning a loss of income, increased travel to medical appointments, and strain on patients and their families. With the rising cost of living, the need is amplified. The QEII Patient Assistance Fund was created to help patients pay for necessities of daily life that can create financial burdens during an illness, amenities and services like rent, mortgage, lodging, home utilities, transportation costs, medication, and more.

“These grants have meant access, help, and hope for patients. It has been such an important resource in these very challenging times. Any time we can remove a barrier or minimize stress, it helps the patient’s overall health. I, and patients alike, am extremely grateful for this program.”

The QEII Patient Assistance Fund is just one example of a donor-funded grant that directly supports patients during their healthcare journey. The QEII Patient Essentials Fund and Comfort & Care Grants also have a meaningful and tangible impact. Whether it’s a gas gift card to offset the cost of getting to appointments or a warm blanket during treatment, small touches that are filled with kindness make all the difference to patients and their families.

Every day, dedicated frontline healthcare teams provide patients with the highest quality of care. And they see firsthand the unique needs of patients. QEII grants equip them with more resources to help patients when they need it most.
